I am starting to think I might actually have to get new gear.. My textile jacket and pants (which 4 months ago I was too big to wear comfortably) are so loose it's silly..

This week 257 and that is fine by me..

Here is to being only slightly fat  :bigok:

I'm at the low end of obese. Hopefully I will break into the 220s on my next official weigh in this weekend.

Congrats y'all! I'm up 30 lbs now, but only at 16 weeks. Thankfully the morning sickness is over so I won't have to stuff my face to keep from being sick all the time. I'm gonna try to hold steady from here.

Not weight loss, but does anyone have a suggestion for a neoprene knee support (closed patella)?  I have this one because it was the only one a local sporting good store had in stock in small, but I'm wondering if there is anything better (and I need a second one for the other knee).
http://www.amazon.com/Mueller-Sleeve-Closed-Patella-Black/dp/B000US9HLK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1406571571&sr=8-5&keywords=neoprene+knee+sleeve

I also found this one on Amazon but I'm interested in hearing from someone that can suggest something based on their experience because I have no idea what I'm doing: http://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Deluxe-Knee-Black-Large/dp/B000UVUBRQ/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1406571571&sr=8-6&keywords=neoprene+knee+sleeve

My knees just need a little help so they aren't sore by the end of a workout.

255lbs this AM...

I look at myself an honestly cannot fathom where I put an additional 53.5 pounds..  Am I skinny? No..  Am I smaller? Oh yes.. Enough that I am in need of new clothes (even my "small" stuff from the back of the closet is too big now)..

weird..

Well, after a does of flue, I've lost a bit. I'm now in the lower range of where my BMI should be. Not a recommended technique, but it works.

Not that I was overweight much before.

Finally broke into the 220 range :chili: :chili:  But it cost me some pain and suffering due to an accident, I don't recommend this as a weight loss program.

250lbs this AM..

That was my goal... Now, I don't know.

58.5 lbs..  I have 60lbs on my curl bar and this morning I realized I used to carry that around with me all the time..

FYI the Myfitnesspal counter rounds up.

Congratulations and keep going!  250 lbs is still not a healthy weight for anyone, unless you're a serious weight lifter or 8 ft tall.  You know what it takes, so keep up the good work. :bigok:

Well..

My recent medical visit says that at 253 (when I went) all discernible measures say differently.. No high Blood pressure, no high cholesterol, blood work all normal, breathing on treadmill better than mean for my age, and so on..

Lets remember that "thin as healthy" is a modern convention (and invention) and it not wholly accurate. BMI is a joke. as it ignores the reality of genetics.

If your body is behaving and existing in a healthy state then weight is a less critical factor.

I would say that the challenge now is to maintain your new weight to continue reaping the rewards of better health. You have data that says you are healthier than you were.

Don't go back to where you were.

This is, of course, the real challenge.. I've lost nearly this much weight more than once, and yet I always climb back up.. The difference, and it's important, is that this time I have an exercise schedule that is both fun and challenging. I used to only walk and lift.. Now with Biking, Swimming, walking/jogging, and lifting in the mix I never have to do the same routine twice. That is important as I bore easily and that leads to avoidance. Also I have found a really nice balance between eating "right" and nights out with my wife. It's a better feeling than ever before.

I blew out my lower back a week ago.. The immobility and the stuck on the couch eating put 6 pounds back on. Today, for the first time in a week I am pain free and back on the exercise and containing what I eat.

So today 255lbs.

I will weight in again at the end of the week to see whats what.

This past Sunday is one year since the wife and I started out low carb lifestyle. We hit our first goals pretty quickly so the challenge has been to keep it off. We have pretty much adjusted our lifestyle to eat minimal carbs and it seems to work. I have not been on a scale in a while and this morning I weighed in at 201lbs. The wife weighed in at 114lbs BTW (I am up 2 lbs and she is up 2 lbs as well) so it has pretty much been a success. Having said that we agreed on doing a phase II. My new goal is 195 and hers is 110. Then we will see if we can keep that weight off for another year.  8)

4 months ago 278. Last week 244. Getting there.

As I went in for a scheduled check up and blood draw, the Dr. said a word that scared the crap out of me. "Diabetes"

I beat cancer back in '08, that was scary. But when the Dr. said Diabetes, I was done. Quit drinking, started watching the sugar intake. cut my intake of total food down a lot.

The wife is really hatin'.....lol

Good luck to all.

Back from riding out west and eating well.  Got on the scale this morning - 159.  Not bad, but I'll be trimming back the excesses for a couple months again.  Got a salami and swiss sammich and salad packed for lunch and restocked on the single crystal light packs to make the water tasty.

We're about to cross weights. *sigh*

I know I will lose it all again after I deliver the baby, but it's still a little depressing to be up over 200 again.

Eh....you've got good reason for trending up.  I'm sure the pending bundle of joy appreciates the healthy environment.  I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well - and then you'll be back to where you were before you know it.

My lowest weight was 248 (two Months ago).. Today I am 255lbs and totally happy with it. Am I skinny? Nope.. Can I hike 10 miles with ease? Yes. Can I bike ride 25miles and enjoy it? Yep?

Losing weight is part of being fit, but not all of it.. I'm pretty freaking fit right now and the weight just hovers.. I can live with it..
