Even better is that I went to the doctor on Friday and in the last 14 months, I've dropped my cholesterol from 203 to 167 and my triglycerides from 219 to 70! Thank you, clean eating and bike riding!!!

That is awesome, congrats. holding at 197 here, wife is at 111. We have our yearly physical on Wednesday. We are both around 25 lbs lighter than the last time we saw her. Should be interesting.  8)

54 days ago I was 308.5lbs..

Now 54 days later using myfitnesspal and Mapmyfitness to count and monitor calories and track my exercise I am 275bs.

I went from covering a mile in 35 painful and lame minutes to covering 4 miles in under an hour. I am now jogging bits of my walk.. Which is weird and cool.

My goal? No idea weight wise. My personal goal? a 5K in under 40min and then a 10K in an hour and 20 by the end of summer..

I have never been a runner, ever..  Yet I feel like I might get there..

I'm stuck around 235.

I went from really good dieting to now - it seems - eating to maintain weight (which is so much NOT like how I used to eat.)

I need to get serious and take another dive.  I have a track day at Laguna Seca 6/23, and I want to have the 230s in my rear-view-mirror.

As of today I am 266.5

42 pounds down and still rolling.. I am keeping my net caloric intake at 1700 and exercising.

I alternate days.. Day 1: Walk (at least 5 miles at 3.5mph), Day 2: Gym (weights and 40 minutes of freestyle swimming), then Day 3:  biking (10 to 20 miles) on the 4 day I rest then start over.. Weekends we hike in the hills or ride trials in other towns..

I'm lucky in that my schedule allows for all this..

Yeah!

I'll be going the opposite direction for the next 8 months or so.  In order to keep the morning sickness at bay, I've had to stuff my face pretty much morning 'til night, which means I've gained about 20 lbs in 8 weeks.  *sigh*

Anyway, WeightWatchers gives you 3 months grace period to get back to goal weight after having a baby, so come January 13th, 2015, I'll be back on the wagon with y'all.

I'm right there with you Meemuh,

An aggressive gym schedule has put 1lbs back on.. After 3 months of the scale telling me what I want to hear (see) going up is brutal.. emotionally speaking..

On we go..

Well I'm only down 5 lbs since really tracking EVERYTHING. Before I would do well at breakfast and lunch and then nit track at night. I am halfway through our cross country trip and holding steady, which is amazing since I haven't been able to workout due to a tweaked back. Going for some hikes and rides over next two days to stretch some legs and muscles. Can't wait to get back into a routine but at least I'm not gaining weight back.

as of today I am down 50.5 lbs..  From 308.5 to 258. It took 105 days.

I even managed to lose weight on vacation. We were in Florida for 10 days, 6 at Walt Disney World, and we hit the GYM 7 of those days. Moreover we had a full kitchen so we cooked a lot, which helped.

But it's muscle, so it's good news.  Muscle has a higher metabolic rate, so it will help you burn the fat off even quicker. :)

I even managed to lose weight on vacation. We were in Florida for 10 days, 6 at Walt Disney World, and we hit the GYM 7 of those days. Moreover we had a full kitchen so we cooked a lot, which helped.

Wow! That's over 3 lbs per week. That's amazing!

as of today I am down 50.5 lbs..  From 308.5 to 258. It took 105 days.

Much as I hate the truth of it I had to eat less and exercise more..

I'm sticking to a low calorie diet (started at 1800 and am now at 1650 a day) and I am burning between 500 and 2000 calories a day (sometimes as high as 2500).  Biking, hiking/walking, and swimming, mixed with weights.

It just turns out that I am in a place (full time grad student) where I can do all this, my schedule in very flexible in the morning, so I am making the most if it.

That's fantastic. I gained a lot of my weight in grad school. My loss average when I did my big drop was about 1.7 lbs per week.

I had help for the 1st 30 lbs. I used Phentermine to kick start the process. It paid great dividends.

FWIW I'm not really trying to lose weight. The Dr. says considering my body structure I'm ok at 5'-10" and 195 lb. I have been pretty consistent at the gym for the past 4 years doing only cardio stuff. Elliptical, bike, stair stepper. Last fall I started swimming laps. Without modifying my diet much, other than not eating after 9:00 pm, I went from @ 200 a year ago to 188. I'm now swimming a mile in about 45 minutes. Not an Iron Man  pace but considering that when I started last fall I could barely string two non stop laps together I'm pretty happy with that. My point is that despite the regular cardio routine it wasn't until  I started swimming that I saw any weight loss.
YMMV

Swimming is amazing. I jumped in the pool when my hip (loudly) complained about the vigorous walking/jogging I was doing and the results were awesome. 40 minutes in the pool is about 1250 meters (not a mile but good enough for me!). Swimming has increased my energy, improved my breathing and cardio stamina, and generally makes me feel great.

My work pants have, um, shrunk and I'm too cheap to buy new ones.

Down 10 lbs in 10 days on Atkins. One more week of <20 grams of carbs/day. Aiming for 15 off and pants that fit again.

I miss beer :'(

Haven't had a barley pop since mid-January.  You'll be okay.
