I hate cancer.
« on: July 24, 2019, 01:54:03 PM »
Today I lost a good and dear friend to that stinking disease, he was such a fun ,friendly person, and I miss him already, there is a huge empty spot inside of me . The fun we had the stories we told, gone. He fought it off once, but 4 years later it came back with a vengeance, and ate him away to nothing. Ricky Cantolina ,you were one of the most super humans that ever lived,I will remember you till its my time to go to the next level.

I'm so, so sorry. I lost two friends on 23rd December last year. Roger and Nick are both living with prostate cancer and Vanessa with breast cancer, which has metastitsised all over.

So sorry, MadMan.  :-\
I’ve lost my last four canines, ravaged by various cancers.
At least with them, a more humane end is achievable.

Horrible way to go. My dad fought it off once and lived another 5 years, same story when it came back. Up and around Christmas, wasted away to skin and bones and dead by the end of February. He never smoked, ate right, very active and fit as a fiddle. Just fate I guess, no rhyme nor reason to it..

Sorry to hear that. You'd think with the gazillions of dollars raised for research, for so many years, there would be more answers.  Fortunately for me, there have been some.

If a person was cynical and jaded enough, they might think there was more money in "looking" for a cure than in actually "finding" a cure.

So all those coffee enemas were just a waste of time?

A waste of good coffees too, for that matter. It tasted horrible afterwards.

Long time acquaintance and friend of my wife told us in April he was recovering and doing well.

It came back.  Two weeks ago he was given 2 to 6 months to live.

My wife tried to call him Monday.  He didn’t answer the phone.

Just found out his funeral is Saturday.

Add me to the list of haters.  (As if I wasn’t already on it.)
