I followed along via Dan’s postings.  Too bad Greg had to work on the SD end.  Would love to see his 2 way time.

Wow - that is impressive.

I recall my BBG and ~1650 mi in 24 hours was rough.

He was twisting hard to keep up that pace.

Well done.

New goldwing is limited to 112mph so he wasn't REALLY burning it. Very impressive to me, regardless. I've done a 65 mph moving average for 800 miles but it wasn't easy, and that was just freeway and trail mix/quick fuel stops. I did around 1100 in 24 and 1700 in 36 during the big sky rally and that was very hard. I can't imagine an 80mph average for that long.

I clearly don't know what a 50CC is.  It is not about engine displacement, is it?

Generally, it’s San Diego to Jacksonville or vice versa.  The harder ones start further north on one coast and end directly east or west from the starting point like NY to SF.

kinda makes me laugh, "I'm going to break the law to show my support for law enforcement". I wonder if that will work the next time I get picked up for speeding??

IMO anyone brave (?) enough to sit on a bike for 29+ hours deserves some form of praise  :hail:
I know there's no way I would.

Speed limit in some areas out west is 85 mph. I doubt he was that flagrant. I've had a 70 mph moving average in California with the car, albeit over a much shorter time span. Mr. Consistency for sure.

I just found it "entertaining". not that it matters one way or another. I did a 70mph average for 10 hours and was typically running 95-100 when traffic allowed. of course I was on a VTX so had to stop for gas 3X more than this guy.

and yes it is impressive!

Regardless of the speed (which is not a big deal out west and through the south west -high speed limits and wide open areas) sitting on a bike for 29 1/2 hours without sleeping. Yep, that man deserves props
I did that ride (50cc west to east, southern route) and my head was screwed for at least a day after. It took me a lot more time, but less than 50 hours. By LA I needed sleep so bad I slept in the waiting room of a hotel for 15 min and in a hotel room for 4 hours just to allow me to continue on my way.  He is an Iron man to stay awake and on the bike for 29 + hours  :hail: :hail: :hail:
Till the morning comes, it'll do you fine.
Till the morning comes, like a highway sign,
Showing you the way, leaving no doubt,
Of the way on in or the way back out.
