No offense but that looks a lot like mine.

If anyone should be offended, it's your bike.   ;)

I learned that the USPS does not accept duck/duct tape on fixed price priority box mail... but that if you're nice, they'll take it anyway. :)

I learned that no one else told my 2014 Host Committee Chair (I'm his VP) about the $44K error in the conference budget, so my phone call this morning to discuss said error effectively ruined his day...well, that and the Rangers losing last night didn't help his mood much. Poor guy.

I also learned that there are 39 expense reports in my queue awaiting my approval, effectively ruining MY day.
I used to make a bigger impression.

My right ear makes more wax than my left.
People with wet ear wax are more prone to seizures than people who have dry earwax.
So I have that going for me.

My wife is the coolest person, second to none.  I've known this for nearly 20 years now.  But it's fun to be reminded.

Situation:  I'm finishing a major front-end rebuild on my XJ-S.  It's been a difficult job, and I'm at the 80% mark.

I texted my mechanic-friend, to see if he could stop by after work for some help reinstalling the steering rack.  It's difficult because the damn XJ-S has you reaching into places you can't see, but can, with some difficulty, feel.  Jesse is a Jag specialist, and is no stranger to this stuff.  Unfortunately, he's at home, ill, with some kind of cold/flu, and had to wave-off.

My wife, who's a "bit of a princess", says:  "If I went there with you tonite, do you think I could help you with a few things?  I know you feel time-pressured, and I'd be happy to help."

We went to my garage (an aircraft hangar, where I store my car collection and motorcycles) got changed into garage clothes, "gloved-up", and went to it.

In 45 minutes, the most difficult part of the task was done.  15 minutes later, we cleaned up and headed home with several major checkmarks accomplished.

The Russian SU-152 with the 152mm gun and AP rounds can destroy a Tiger in two shots, one if you're lucky.  I cant read or understand Russian but these cats got an old SU that has been sitting for who knows how long to start up and move. Good old Russian technology.  :)

Learned not to let my 2 year old play with the garage door opener.  He opened it about a dozen times in a row--up down, up down, etc..  It finally started to smoke and stopped working.

Thanks to YouTube, I learned what the problem was (bad start motorc capacitor), and how to repair it myself.  New start capacitor was $11.  I saved a service call to the garage door service man and my wife was very impressed that I was able to fix it (and for cheap too).

Rear ending a mini van with a motorcycle is not a good thing.
I learned that many years ago - there were girls in bikini's on the side of the road for some car wash...
I hit the van dead on the trailer hitch receiver.
The bikini girls got to see me fall over with the bike...  and my dignity go up in smoke.

I rear-ended a station wagon with my Toyota pickup back in college because of a bikini car wash. I later learned I wasn't the only one that weekend to get distracted.  8)

I learned that one of the tar snakes on the road this morning was actually a trail of hot oil squirting from the underside of the car in front of me. :willy: I'm surprised there's not a pinch mark in the middle of my saddle.

Also that years of practice plus a wheelbarrow full of blind-ass luck equals not falling down.

I learned that Regions bank will not cash their own checks without charging me two dollars for the privilege.
May I mambo dogface to the banana patch?

Sounds like it is time for a new bank.

the one in the Gatorade bottle, sudoephine, lithium, camp fuel, then muriatic acid/salt ?? looks dangerous as hell to me and the explosions on video were cool. morgue shots of some of the cooks were good too ;)
the above are merely the ramblings of a hamfisted fuckwit who has broken too many helmets.

Ah, the one-pot method. Either you get meth or an explosion. Bottom end product yield, not suitable for sale, just personal use as you swirl the drain of life.
