I'll make an 8 hour round trip drive to buy a piece of stereo gear (and eat some top quality BBQ just to sweeten the deal).

Oooh. Where'd you go?

Montgomery, TX. Ate at Southside Market in Elgin on the way back to SA. I loves me some hot guts.

I re-learned a lesson today.
At an early age, I put a pocket knife into my eye.
Very fortunately, my vision wasn't affected, and I've worn eye protection everywhere since.
People who know me well, have never seen me awake without effective eye gear.
Today while snow blowing the neighbour's drive, I hit a chunk of ice that rocked the 'blower.
I didn't realize I'd been struck until I came in the house, and the wife saw my right eye.
The lower left socket quadrant is that uniquely unmistakable steel-blue-crimson you might remember from boxing class.
Wear your eye protection, people.
You never know...

Nice setup. I had an AR table back in the 80's with the stock arm and a Shure V-15-III. Nice sounding combo.

The beast is a Mitsubishi LT-30. 35 pound linear tracking table. It came with a brand new Grado Black but I swapped in my AT-912Sa cart designed for CD4 playback with the Shibata stylus. I'm casually shopping for an MC cart and building a JFET MC phono pre - link below. Now if I would get off my ass and fix the signal fade when warm issue with the Yamaha C-40 pre I have...it's already set up for MM/MC phono input...neither my AMC tube pre nor the Luxman SS pre have MC support.

The (official) birthplace of rap was in New Jersey.  The Sugarhill Gang was from NJ and recorded "Rappers Delight" in NJ as well.

If you agree that the Sugarhill Gang was the first to release a rap album, here is their wikipedia page.

Saw Chuck D speak last night and he mentioned the above.

Apparently,

Using a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with bird shot to clear icy limbs off of a power drop is not an LEO condoned course of action in the City Limits of Covington, Ga.

Infact, had I not pointed out that discharging a firearm in a safe manner within said City limits  is only a misdemeanor  the f-ing cop was gonna try to take my gun and lock my ass up.

So, what I learned is:

Stay out in the County and never buy or rent "In Town."

Power supplier is not to impressed with it either...

Your as bad as the f'in cop.....ya shoot the ice on the tree limb not the wire......

Typical redneck statement, two years later I'm back for a faulted cable (yea, it happens on overhead too)  trust me your not the first

Not likely...

this "redneck" is also a lineman.

Using Chrome (browser);
You can highlight a word or string of words, right-click it and one of the options is: Search Google for 'xx'  (where xx = what you highlighted).
It opens another tab with your string in a goggle search!!

Steping on the brake pedal and hearing a pop and then it goes to the floor is never a good thing when trying to stop for a light.

Rusted line. If the gas tank wasn't so close to the frame rail i could cut the bad section out and replace it. Looks like I'll be replumbing it from the ABS to the rear axle.

The Nobel brothers, later of Nobel prize fame, made their first fortune selling land mines to Tsar Nicholas I.
In 1879, the brothers Ludwig and Robert Nobel founded the Nobel Brothers Oil Company and began buying land in the town of Baku (of Azerbaijan, Russia) when oil was found there.
In 1900, Baku, a small town on the western edge of the Caspian sea, produced half the world's oil.
The town boasted garish displays of wealth never before seen, but it was so poisoned with oil that the life expectancy of its residents was only thirty.
Its own governor called it 'the most dangerous place in Russia.' For Stalin, it was the 'Oil Kingdom.'
Alfred invented dynamite, but Ludwig's invention of the oil tanker was almost as important.

Well in Firefox when you right click it, you can also 'Search Google' but it opens a tab with your string in a google search. I think your browser is broken if you're going to 'goggle'.

You're lucky.
If you had been younger you might have caught what Mick Jagger referred to as, a "lethal dose"...

Disconnect the battery before removing the carb on a JD3020. Otherwise your screwdriver arcs on the starter igniting the fuel dripping out of the loosened carb ;)
