A guy I used to work with stopped by yesterday. His son is law is a federal game warden, he's headed to DC for "crowd control". he has zero crowd control training?

They might be able to use someone who knows how to deal with a herd of animals.

Does sound like it might be an overreaction in the wake of last week’s totally inadequate preparation.

Q) How many conspiracy theorists does it take to change a lightbulb?

A) Do your own research.

I'd be surprised if anything more than a bus load of yay-hoos showed up anywhere. That bullshit at the capitol was an aberration, not a precursor.

It would be unlikely that a significant amount of people have the balls to go up against a company or two of armed National Guard or even state police. Talk is cheap and posing with your AR and cammos and thumping your chest is all good fun, looking down a few hundred gun barrels most certainly isn't. Just like Kent State all it takes is one accidental discharge and all hell breaks loose.

Trying to fight the government is the very definition of bringing a knife to a gun fight, this ain't 1776 where everyone's even with a Brown Bess and a cannon or two. The balance is definitely NOT in your favor

Tell that to the French Resistance, Vietnam, Afghanistan, etc.

Entirely different scenario, but have fun storming the castle.

In Asymmetrical Warfare you don't do "storming".

I suppose not, the Viet Minh overrunning Dien Bien Phu was probably more an NVA type of battle order than a later VC or Pathet Lao insurgency.
