A couple of hours out with Dan...
« on: August 26, 2018, 01:38:54 PM »
Today Dan wanted to get out for a ride. I did too, of course, but he only wanted to go out for a few hours (I was pretty much ready for an 8 hour day.... oh well - at least he wants to ride!)
So I picked a destination, set the GPS to curvy roads and we meandered our way along the French/Swiss border for a couple of hours. The weather was fantastic!

Looks like you both had a grand day and the weather was cooperating. :)

I would not want to meet a school bus on that road.
Only motorcycle riders know why a dog sticks its head out of a car window.

Thanks! I got a new camera for "on the fly" shooting and I'm still playing with the settings.

Well I for one would say the new camera is spectacular and the pictures you took are amazing.

And I meant the pics too. It's not just that they're beautiful. They give a real feel for the area. I've never figured out how to do that with landscapes and genuinely admire those who can.

That's really good to hear, thank you.

I do try for what you said, "get a feel for the area". I figure that most people looking at these pictures will never actually be where I am, and I want to share the experience with them. This is about as close as I can get, so it is nice to know that I am doing something right   :lamer:
