Nanny cam thingy?
« on: January 22, 2018, 10:30:59 AM »
So is there a simple, cheap reliable cam I can install in my house to check up on my home with my phone? Want to be able to check on my MIL (with Alzheimers) who will be staying with me while her husband rehabs.
You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrists' office.

Maybe look into wifi baby monitors?  Lots of them are remotely viewing/streaming to phones and/or computers.  No experience with them personally or on the price but maybe a used one could be picked up cheap on Craigslist.

A friend on Cape Cod used them and said they were simple enough for a goat farmer.

I have a few different things to keep track of, and the ZModo Pivot has been nice and friendly.

Super simple, very capable, and can even monitor door switches to tell me when doors open/close.
