Even though I am not currently in the same state as my motorcycle, I am starting at 26,179. Mid February I will begin to add more to that. This blows

2' of snow on top of 2" of ice for three first 25' of the driveway just outside the garage door with about 175' more before the road with 3" of packed snow in it with still another 800' to the barely plowed drift covered main road.

I keep track in a spreadsheet, but the two bikes currently have:

KTM 1190 Adv - 28,570 miles
KTM 530 EXC - 10,520 miles (326 hours)

My goal for 2018 is 10K miles on the 1190 (no big trips planned) and 100 hours on the 530. Lots of mixed surface, dirt roads, and trail riding in those numbers. The rear tire bill on the 1190 is going to be huge running TKC80s (or equiv). Could be the last season for both bikes if the upcoming Yamaha T7 or KTM 790 Adv are as good as they appear to be.

2007 R1200GS - 41,888
2010 WR250X - 9,080
2004 Thruxton - 24,560

Wife's:
2014 CB500X - 17,950
2015 FJ-09 - 22,575

You guys have inspired me.

In four decades of riding, I have never tracked my mileage, beyond writing down mileage of maintenance tasks in my maintenance log. But I really have no idea how many miles I've ridden lifetime, not only because I never tracked the mileage on my personal bikes, but also because there were a few years I put more miles on test and loaner bikes than I did on my own.

So this year I created a spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12OSrykLUMx6kRdy2PvUxohpqAitlA2Oxn7NuEyIBbvE/edit?usp=sharing) and I'm going to track every mile I ride on two wheels. I'm hoping it will be an above-average year for me in terms of riding, but so far it's off to a snowed-in start.

For the record, here's the starting point on my personal bikes:

1997 Triumph Speed Triple     105,589
2009 Kawasaki Versys 650     80,108
2006 Triumph Daytona 675     15,450
Whitehorse Gear is getting out of the publishing business and I'm closing out remaining stocks of my book. Now just $10, personally signed and shipping is free in the U.S.

Only a measly 5,301 miles this year. 84,452 on her now, and I think my season is done. Haven't done that few since my return to riding with my FZ6. Personal challenges have conspired with a crappy commute, but I plan to change that in 2019. I did enjoy every mile.

Don't forget about the RAIN this past year. I think that cut into everyones riding.

Not sure how many miles I did this year but I did blow up the engine on the DR650. So I have that going for me.

I did put 100 miles on the ZRX so far this year.

OK, 4010 miles this year.  None since 29 June, when I got back from Montana.

The heads came off the bike a couple days later and my guy says they're nearly done.

Maybe a couple hundred more by the end of the year if I get the heads back.  Just enough to get to the retorque and then the bike will mostly hibernate while I play with the R100/7 that entered my world last week.

The last registration expired in 1988.   :o  Dual plug heads and some San Jose BMW chassis parts!

I'm going to reanimate it and move it along for funds to fix up the RS (last registered 1985!) parked next to it.  The other bike is an R75/6 that came as part of the deal.  It's going to give up some parts to the RS and my existing /6 but may someday be a cafe or trackday special.

I'm favoring keeping the RS and moving the /7 on.  The next owner can keep the fairing or not.  Springtime, hopefully.

Started the season at 59518km
Ended at  71897km

= 12379km / 7692mi

Not great, but at least a couple thousand more than the past few years and I missed the biggest trip of the year (Eastern Owners Meet) because I started a new job and had 0 vacay time.
Next year will likely be similar as my big trip (Yosemite) I'll be hauling in a van.

Me either, though realistically I'm not going to rack up many more miles with one (the garage queen) in winter storage, one with a punctured rear tire awaiting repair and one in service.

pretty disappointing:

last year:                   today:                 pathetic total:
300XC-w.  70hrs.         88.5                       18.5
1190.  26,600              29,363                   2,763
TLR200.  1,807            1,832                          25
Superduke   0               2,587                    2,587

I can honestly say I spent more time working on the TLR than riding it. hopefully 2019 is better...

I'm detecting a trend here.

I"ve pretty much accepted I"m never gonna be riding my past average of about 20K per year.  I'm good with that, as I'm getting older I'm looking forward to doing, and traveling with, a van conversion. I'll likely sell the FJR for something I can easily store on a tow rack... scooter/trail bike/Versys 300.

I believe there are 26 miles on this bike. I will attempt to change that this weekend.

I have one more weekend left and I am not reading to finalize my mileage yet but I did not meet my goal. New position at work, life, and a commute of 4.8 miles round trip just did not leave much room for contributing to the odometer.
A straight road never made a skilled rider.

I like how the tie down straps look like Christmas ribbon when zip tied.  Coincidence??  I think not.

I have put more miles on my 790 Adventure R in my head than I have put on my XT250 IRL.   :-\

I didn't want them hitting the new paint.

Anyway I put 300 miles on the V1k.

Got a few miles in today.  Probably more on Thursday.  Not final yet!
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulation.

Still riding here. I rode Sunday, Monday, and today. Will ride again this coming weekend too.
