Anyone use GunBroker.com?
« on: December 31, 2013, 10:54:26 PM »
Did you have trouble registering? I really don't like the idea of sending them a copy of my drivers license because they can't verify my address. Why would a website need that if you are transferring a firearm from a FFL to a FFL?

Gunbroker.com is the EBay for gun sales.  I have purchased on there with no problems.  They never asked for a copy of my drivers license however.

I've bought and sold on there several times. No issues yet.

They have a list of FFL's should you need.

Yep, just bought a pistol on there. Didn't need to give them my DL info though.

No issues when I've used it and never sent a copy of my OL.

I'm window shopping through Gun Broker without signing up for an account.  I'm a little reluctant to purchase through it as there could be issues similar to ebay where the item may not be exactly as described.

I don't own any hand guns yet and I think I'd rather purchase directly from a local FFL, although I could see it hand to buy used itmes that may be harder to find locally.

Read the ads carefully. Some say "similar to item" or something like that. Any seller who goes through a lot of picture documentation (especially bore) and has a high rating would probably be okay to deal with.

I haven't purchased through them yet, but none of the local places has what I am looking for.

I just registered at Gun Broker.  Their address verification process slightly corrected what I had entered including my nine-digit zip code.

Let us know how it goes. Is this having to go through an FFL?*

Let us know how it goes. Is this having to go through an FOR?

I have no idea what a "FOR" is.

Today's activities: auction won, paid by VISA, FFL sends information to seller, and I received a UPS shipping notfication.

Sorry, fixed. FFL. But you already answered that. Congrats!
