You know Jafrum.com? How is it?
« on: December 31, 2013, 01:52:29 PM »
I've kinda drunk the revzilla koolaid cuz they're just cool.  But when I was shopping price for a DS helmet, this Jafrum place came up WAY cheaper w/ free shipping for the same product.  Never heard of em.
Any experiences to share one way or the other?

I feel like I must have ordered from them in the past, as it looks way familiar. I can't find anything in my email. If I did, it must have been a fine experience as I don't remember any issues. I want ot say I ordered some soft luggage from them about 5? years ago, or so.

They just emailed me last week, asking if I'd put a link to their site from my site. I said no, simply because I don't know them (and they didn't immediately offer me $$$   8) )

Jafrum or the reseller joint?

I ordered a helmet from there.  Fast free shipping (over 85 dollars or something) product was well packaged and as advertised.  This experience wasn't unlike one with Revzilla and as long as I don't click on the sucker surveys they use on their site, all seems to be well.

Hi There,

I'm looking to get in touch with your web editor or someone that I can suggest a site to for your links page (http://dantesdame.com/temp/motorcycle-links/).  Jafrum.com is a great resource with all kinds of gear at great prices and I think your site's users would find it really beneficial.

I'm curious to hear what you think.  Thanks for your time.

All the best,
Rick

Interesting marketing technique.  Pretty innocuous request it seems.  How do you make that distinction between who you would link to or recommend vs who you wouldn't want to be associated with?  Do you have any links to any other resellers anywhere?  This stuff fascinates me when it's not terrifying like FB.  Would you put a link to nikwax or aerostich if given the opportunity?

I will link to people and things I know/like, but generally it is just a small corner of the site, something I forget is even there until I stumble across it again. In fact, there aren't any commercial links there now other than SoundRider.com (I had to go look). I did have an insurance company up there once, but only because they offered me money (whore, I know  :naughty: )and they seemed to be accepted by the moto community.

the page, if you wanted to see for yourself

I suppose I could put some effort into it, but it isn't that important to me right now.
