I’d rather see the specs over watching a movie on their website.  Weight, HP, cost all play a factor in marketing.  Frankly, their market is dying off and for those left, the bike is too heavy.

Way to big for me, period.
But...  if Honda gives 50% of the same effort to the Interceptor/VFR... I'd give it very serious attention.

Ugh. The three of them they sold are now for sale on the used market and people think they have to ask stupid-high money for them.

I want it to look like an old 1100 Wing with a Vetter fairing

From what I've read on honda powersports website, weight down somewhat depending on version, HP up slightly,
new frame, new engine block, 4 valves per cyl, full electronic everything, ABS, Traction control, E suspension, front suspension similar to BMW's duolever, rear Single-sided swingarm Pro-Link, finally an electric windscreen, price about the same range.
Three version Goldwing (Bagger) Tour (Manual 6 spd) or DCT (7 spd) walking and reverse gear, Tour DCT/Airbag.

Looks great to me. And they FINALLY addressed the central problem of the 1500/1800s: pathetically inadequate front suspension.

I like what they did with it. It was becoming too big and heavy, a "couch on wheels" like they say in the video. Yes, it's just about as big, but it is significantly lighter (90 lbs) and has a much more modern styling. If I had the means (time/money) to ride 2-up for days/weeks at a time, I'd seriously consider it. Oh, and if I were rich.

It looks like a much improved scoot to me. If I was in the lux-o-barge market, I'd be more interested in this than the current model. I guess the big question is how many people are still in that market.

The only complaint I've heard from my Goldwing riding friends is that they went with the Apple car thing instead of Android. They're liking the rest of the specs -- especially the (reported) 90 lbs. weight loss.

The fairing certainly has a CBR/VFR-ness. The GL now has a greater family resemblance it previously lacked.
If it weren't for the therapeutic properties of the occasional off-camber decreasing radius downhill right-hander I'd almost certainly go completely sane.

787lbs. and performance don't really go together do they? But, I imagine it is comfy on the highway.
