Woot, new car!
« on: December 28, 2013, 02:36:52 PM »
2014 Subaru Forester.  :inlove:  I thoroughly enjoyed my brief drive home from the dealership in which the cavernous open space was unencumbered by kid stuff or hockey gear.  Next up, installation of car seats into the back (the reason for getting the new car; the old one couldn't fit both two rear-facing seats and my stupidly tall husband)!

Very cool. We bought the same car -- even the same color -- a month ago. Our kids have grown. For us, it's the dog hauler.

We're loving it so far. The color looks great.  :bigok:

Congratulations! When I drove a Forester, I was very impressed with it. Subarus have come a long way from being a good vehicle to excellent. Great color, Poof.

Err, actually the 14 is the rolled number. And it's upside down. At least that's what I'd see without a reference to what the sticker means.

Nice car though. It looks like the one I bought Rita.

NERD ALERT

True, though if compared with an actual d20, the "20" is the number that's at the wrong angle in the sticker.  Naturally, I had a real d20 immediately at hand with which to compare.

Nice car, if our Subaru dealer was not such a wanker, we would have bought the Forester, and not the Santa Fe! I love the dice, I am buying one for my friend who is back playing D&D. He even has a familiar in his latest campaign that he can not tire telling me about!

Congrats Poof!! I've owned many Subaru's over the years, including a '78 Brat, an '82 Brat, and an '80 GL Sedan that I bought from a neighbor in '88 with a blown automatic transmission for $200. Swapped the auto tranny out for a 5 spd for $100 more and drove that thing everywhere for the next several years. :D

Can I ask if the old Subie was traded in? I really liked it and wondered if it might be going up for sale. ;)

We're hanging onto it for a couple of months because of the influx of family that will be visiting in the next few weeks for Baby2.0.  That way they don't need to rent cars.

After that, my neighbor might be interested in buying it for her daughter, but if that falls through, I'll definitely let you know!

I didn't have any handy so couldn't check it out fully. The d6 pictures drive me a little nuts too when they aren't right either (all opposite sides equal 7).

So what is the sticker for? Just a d20?

The 20 is clearly on top. Critical success.

With his luck, Chris would roll a critical failure every time.

Also, saw a Forester in the parking lot today. From the picture I was expecting it to be much larger.  :P

I will admit recognizing the die but couldn't tell you what was rolled. My last game was in the dead of winter'81/'82. Probably quite inebriated.

Also a  on the new ride!

The Forrester XT had a scoop until last year. Too bad they did away with for the redesign.

Did the XT have the intercooler located up there like the WRX?
