How old is that pic? You still got it? Do you ride it?

The pic is a couple of months old. I haven't ridden it since then & I still have it! FTR, I'll probably never ride it again. It hurts me. But it looks great in the garage next to the others!

Yes.  Once I got home, I looked up the torque specs on that plug and tightened it up quite a bit.  No more leaks - for now!

When I first read that I thought you asked if he got his oil leak "started".  ;D

Nice Triumphs.  How do you like the Tiger OEM panniers, doc?  I was looking at those versus the Givi Trekkers and Caribou Pelican options.

RW-I actually like them a lot. I know some that say they are flimsy but for me, they work perfect and I really like the look.

Okay... I know that I may be getting out of riding, but I couldn't resist! This is my dream bike & I just had to go get it so I made a phone call yesterday afternoon & talked to the owner of Team Triumph & then went to my credit union & got a cashiers check, left my house at 6am & 11 hours later I got home w/ this: 2013 Triumph Speed Triple ABS SE:

On display in their showroom:

Awesome bike, best of luck with her.

Ever since I rode my buddies ('08 ? it had round headlights) last year I've been thinking about one for a second bike.
I got to admit it Strips that is one of the better looking ones.
The one I really have my eye on is the Olin's equipped, but at $16,000.00 it's a bit high priced (for me) for a second bike. :(

Will we see it at one of the  STO meets?

If I decide to continue riding I'll definitely be on it at every meet! Whether I ride it or trailer it, you'll get to see it. It's awesome in person! The BMW is gone & I can't ride the Daytona for more than 5 minutes w/o pain shooting up my spine &/or down my legs & hopefully it will sell soon. I know, why buy a new bike if I'm considering getting out of riding? To put it simply, I have a sickness. I've always wanted another one, I had an '03 955i, & when I saw this one I had to have it. There's 0 miles on the ODO & the tires haven't hit the pavement. I may just keep it like that & park it in the living room next to the Daytona if I end up getting stuck w/ it.

As far as getting your own Speedy, I would suggest getting a nice used '05-'12 non R & upgrade the suspension yourself. It would be a heck of a lot cheaper that $16,000 for you & you can personalize it your own way. Mine is a SE which has everything but Ohlins. But if I know me, I'll probably end up putting Ohlins on the rear at least.

Thanks for the compliment! Cheers

That is a purdy Speed Triple.

As I get older, the riding position of the Daytona becomes less and less inviting.  Might there be a Speedy in my future?

Thanks gents!

I love my Daytona,  I just can't ride it. Too damn aggressive for me after 5 minutes. The Speed Triple feels just right! It's sitting next to my the K1600GT at my shop & I've hopped from one seat to the other & the Speedy, for me, is the best! I'm sure it's a whole lot different going down the road.

Not a good shot of the bike, but proof that it is possible (not easy) to carry camping gear on a Speed Triple and survive adverse conditions.
