Mine was a Dan Wesson 44 Magnum.

It goes through schools.

Toss up between the Winchester Model 100 in .308 and
the Ruger Single Six Convertible.

Miss both.

This is where the difference in gun owners comes into play. Have you ever sold a socket set, hammer, saw, or any other tool? That is how some people treat their guns  ;)

I'm on the tool side. Though, if I had seven general purpose hammers, I could see offloading one, maybe two...

From seeing the guns, IMO, one thing missing is "why". Why is it missed?

While no offense intended to any "like" of any gun, the Steyr is the one that triggered my why question. It looks somewhat bland, commonplace. Therefore there must be some reason that sets that gun with the owner as to why they wished they didn't sell it. A bit of backstory might be appreciated (at least by me).

Every one. Can't choose one, but it would probably be my Sig P220, S&W Model 19, and S&W 4506.

yes I have sold rifles (no pistols sold...yet) and i do miss at least one of em. it was nothing special...  Lever action 45LC with cherry wood stock and stainless barrel. I miss it because it was a TON of fun to shoot even with its issues (double cartridge ejection...)  why did i sell?  cause i needed the money.. duh. I can always buy another some day when funds allow. It's easier selling a gun than a bike or car. at least i feel it is.

The Dan Wesson was very well made solid and accurate. It was just a great powerful handgun and it is almost impossible to replace it.

As for selling guns, not everyone's lives are in a straight line without incredible bumps in the road. There were times where I simply should not have had ANY guns. There were times when the $$ was more important for family obligations. There were times where tequila was more important. Mmmmk?

I've sold guns and tools. When you have a choice of going to jail for nonpayment of child support or selling the only things you have left of value, you do what you can to stay on the outside.

I hated having to sell every tool and gun I had to sell.

Well, since you asked: I sold the Winchester to support my
motorcycle addiction.
In this case, to help finance my trip to Eureka Springs in 2008.
It was a great trip, so in my mind, worth it.
Guns come and go but that trip was priceless.

All makes sense.  I tend to research my purchases carefully then only buy them if they fill a niche I do not have filled.  Of course the niches get smaller and smaller.

I realize more and more everyday that my life is incredibly blessed (and simple)  even though the child support for kids that live with me 90% of the time does piss me off!!

To be honest, I'm still happier to be free of that relationship, so it's all good.

How about one I wish I could go back and buy when I didn't?  In 1996, Mauser 98K with bayonet and Nazi proofs.  $189.  Damn I want to go back for that one I passed up.

If the state of Maryland wasn't such a little bitch about guns, there are a couple I would be tempted to sell.  As it is, trying to replace them with something else would be such a PITA, I just keep them.

For example, my Ruger LCP I'd sell for some other small handgun, but the state nearly pees itself at the thought of a handgun sale. >:(

Cablebandit also has a LCP.  It's one of the guns I want to get Felicia to try for a carry gun.  Especially the version with the integrated laser.

Mine has a CrimsonTrace.  IMO, it's the only way to have this gun.  The barrel is so short and the sights so small, it's the only way to have any reasonable aiming.

I'm sure PA's gun laws are much easier.  :D

My Beretta 92FS. It was the first handgun I ever owned.
