Panoramico dello Vette?
« on: February 01, 2017, 07:51:08 AM »
Has anyone ridden or attempted to ride this route? I found a video from 2014 that shows a route that's one step removed from riding a bike on a balance beam while dodging modest-size boulders. OTOH, I have a book that suggests the route can be done on a BMW K1600. What's the truthiness here?
Are you part of the solution or part of the precipitate?

Never heard of it before, but it looks plenty wide enough for a K1600  :bigok:

If you don't encounter major rock slides, I don't see why not.
It seems in passable all the way in the video on this page.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that was Miles and BMW-K.

Having watched the video in the link Patm provided I'd say the switchbacks would be more of a challenge than the width. After all, if you can get a Sprinter van through that road, a K1600 should have no problems.

Even worse, who has to back up when the sprinter van is coming the other way.
