Casting the ‘Gilligan’s Island’ Movie
« on: December 19, 2013, 11:14:31 AM »
I grew up watching the TV series back in the day. It seems like the tradition of casting hotties as Mary Anne and Ginger continues. This could be a decent movie.

Scarlett Johansson as Ginger Grant

Mila Kunis as Mary Anne Summers

^ That.

C'mon, for the money spent, surely SOMEone can come up with a new idea!
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I Dream of Jeannie!  There was a marathon on Thanksgiving and I didn't remember her being so bouncy, but I like it.

Barbara Eden and Linda Carter were THE hot 60's & 70's girls!  Natural and stunning.  I was born in 1970 so most of my recollection is re-runs.  I agree that the newer ones are all so fake.

I was born in '71.  Lynda Carter (as Wonder Woman 1975-79) and Deidre Hall (as Electra Woman 1976-77) were my initial crushes as a kid.  :inlove:

I caught Gilligan's Island via reruns and never remember being worked up over Ginger nor Mary Ann.  But, I'll happily watch just about anything with Scarlett Johansson in it.   8)
