Every now and again somebody around here will post something about motorbikes, but we generally do our best to ignore them.

Good to know forum nuances, although I gotta say I'm totally enjoying Virginian's XR1200 thread :-X

Hear, hear! Get this man a beer on me! He has good taste!  :beerchug:

Just plum walked out.  We did a few laps of the entire campground and then he played in the doggy mosh pit for a bit.  He’ll nap all afternoon now.  lol

Time to welcome a new member to the Radon family.   Meet Sadie, a 6yr old German Shepard that was turned in to Animal Control when her previous owners moved away.   We won't officially get her until Monday night after she's been spayed, but I can't.     She is full of curious energy and I know I'm going to have my hands fuls for a while.

And Max...she's going to force me to get off my ass and lace up the running shoes with a lot more frequency.

Sam's Doggles came in the mail while we were gone.  He only pawed at them a couple times, then let them be.  We'll see how it goes when the weather breaks and I can actually see my driveway.

Ok, how do I resize the uploaded picture to a manageable size??

Assuming you're using a link to an image hosting site, change the first image tag to [.img width=600]http://example[./img] (the periods are there for visual purposes only)

You can adjust the "600" to whatever number you like, but that's a good place to start.

Here are my three cats using the "Cat Activity Tray", where they have to use their little walnut brains and paws to extricate treats from the various parts. Loki is very food-motivated  8)

There's a size chart on that page for various breeds.

They loop over/behind the ears and under the jaw to prevent dislodging.  Since Sam's going to be riding with me this summer in a dedicated dog travel bag on the rear seat, I want to protect his vision from flying objects and wind.  Anything specific you want to know about them?

Just that they exist and hopefully won't fall apart right away or generally suck in some other manner.  Everything is prelim at this point since we don't actually pick the boy up until Saturday and we won't actually know how big he's going to be.  The range they gave us was 25 to 40lbs.  Thanks.  But I too envision the smaller version of that range riding Something with us, even if it's just zipping around the property w/ momma on the back holding him so he gets used to the sensations.

His most recent pics weren't spectacular.  https://www.awesomedoodle.com/bandit/  And I can't link to them individually for some reason tho I could w/ the previous ones.

He is, however, the star of the first couple minutes of the most recent video update:

! No longer available

We're told he might look like this (Oscar) as he ages.   :inlove:

I bought one of these for rear seat duties on the ST1300.  I've got the bag rack built, but still working on mounts to go under the new to me Russell Day Long seat.  It's amazingly light compared to the Corbin it's replacing.  This dedicated dog bag is the biggest I could find.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Bag-Molded-Deluxe-Motorcycle-Dog-Cat-Pet-Carrier-Tour-Pack-Luggage-Rack-SB-Mnt/183003060407?hash=item2a9bd518b7:g:IscAAOSwXwJantNs&vxp=mtr

Sam (minature Schnauzer) goes 20 pounds and has plenty of room to move around/lay down.  It also has storage capacity for small bowls, leash and a small quantity of dry food.

Doggles have been around for several years with really no complaints I've found. At $20 shipped, if I have to replace them a couple times over the years, I will without qualms.

OK, this week's pics are way better.  Tomorrow we drive to Columbus to get him.  :)  We are mildly excited.  I'm taking off work Monday and Tuesday just cuz.  Unfortunately, an unknown Windows update wiped out our data plan for the month so there won't be any updates till Wed.

I check the animal shelters within 100 miles weekly for a small male pup to add to the family.  Shih Tzu, Pomeranian, Westie mix, etc.  So far no luck with healthy dogs.  There's been a few with somewhat major health issues that made me shy away.  Eventually, another lil guy will come home.  I have patience.

Worked! Thanks! Cat looks to be completely nonplussed. As long as the dog is outside?

She is generally non-plussed.   But likes the dog much better..OUTSIDE.   Sadie keeps trying to nibble on the cat's tail...especially I'm giving the cat attention and not Sadie.

WOW!!!!   What a few days...  Allow me to dominate this thread for a bit:

Arrived early on Saturday for pick up in Columbus.  Amazing.  While the parking lot drug deal feel wasn't ideal, it did get us back on the road quickly and allowed for a timely arrival home so Hemi could meet the house and property with some daylight.  He did AMAZING on the ride home.  Kim sat in the back with him.  He spent some time in his little bed but mostly just racked out on the blanket and chewed on some random stuff between potty breaks.  There was snow most of the ride home so he got to experience a little of that falling during pit stops.

When we got home, we walked him around a little bit, showed him our intended potty spot for him and just let him snork around for a while.  He loves sticks and dirt and rocks and moss and rocks and sticks.  He's all boy.  Of course he has a ton of energy but we have a ton of property and some of it is steep so we got this part down.  Come on puppy, climb the hill again.  And.....sleep.  :)

We took him into town and he met 30 people.  There's an unspoken rule about 100 people before 3 months of age making for good socialization.  He did great.  We sat at the Starbucks for a while so Mommy could get some high speed work done.  Other than being the creepy guy w/ the puppy hanging outside the coffee shop, it went well.

Then the snow came.  That will be a different series of posts and photos.  :)
