Same with Dawg. "Don't let him near cats" is what they said when we picked him up.

I miss that guy.

Just had a few beers with him a couple months back. That was a fun day. Tim's a good guy. He'd be the first to tell you that online is not his healthy place, but he's doing well. Still has the Connie, and just got a sweet, super-low-mileage SV-S.

I wouldn't call this a pet but this little fellow is trying to stay warm tonight in my garage with it being 16F/-9C outside tonight.

It is, poor little fellow is trying to stay warm I guess. He disappeared in the garage somewhere and I'm sure we'll cross paths again. He was super spooked and when i moved in the garage it just shuttered in fear. This is the best I could do getting a few pics and I promptly left him alone as he was getting frantic.

Goodonya.  Too many people think they need to be killed when they see one.  With white-nose fungus spreading across the US, their numbers will be plummeting soon enough.  I love them!

It is with a heavy heart we announce Charlie has left us this day. He had more gumption and spirit then most. He will be sorely missed.  He was orphaned when my mother-in-law passed suddenly. So we bought him a plane ticket to VA from Seattle. He had a good run!

Someone's travel case showed up today!  It's huge with plenty of storage for bowls and a retractable leash.  The case itself is hard sided internally with a very plush floor for sleeping.  For $129 shipped, it's a steal!

Bats are just as necessary to the health and balance of the ecosystem as bees, snakes, and spiders. Other things certain types of people will kill on sight.
The planet would be overrun with disease spreading rodents, mosquitoes and other harmful insects if their populations are not checked by a healthy population of their natural predators. The downturn of bee populations is probably the biggest eco-threat to mankind. No bees, no food. The world would starve out in a very few years.

It was neat to watch my 'houseguest' light up when a new puppy came in:

A chuckle for the dog families.   ;D  (borrowed from a friend)

Dear Dogs: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however. Dogs can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It Is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog butt. I cannot stress this enough.
