Haven't ridden in a few weeks thanks to the ice, snow and abundent use of salt.   Looks I'm not riding for a couple more now.

roads here have been snowy/icy for the last 2 weeks. if this keeps up it will be the first time since 1992 that I haven't been able to ride every month.

I'll report in on Sunday at noon. I'm ready for it. Generator is wired up, snow blower is set and I have two barrels of sand/salt from the highway dept on the ready. There is a 55 gallon drum of fresh water in the basement as well just in case.

I really don't expect we'll need anything more than snow removal though.

Geez a little overkill.

Three times in the past five years, this area has lost power for a week each time. Not overkill, preparedness.

Yeah, every year around this time I start looking at getting a generator. One of these years I am going to wish that I bought one instead of just looked at them  :-\

I ran out many years ago when I had a new born in a house that lost power is someone farted neat a utility poll. They predicted up to three feet of snow, high winds, biggest storm in 200 years. We got 1/4 of an inch and a warm sunny day.

But since that time I've used it about once or twice a year. Its easy to have one on the ready and fire up when needed. If you maintain and store it right it will always be there when you need it.

Nice peace of mind to have IMHO

So far we have nothing special in the Lehigh Valley.  If the ice comes tonight like they think it'll get interesting.

In slight contrast to last weekend, I'm hearing 70 for Sunday.  Srsly?  Then probably a noreaster the following week.

Yep but with rain up my way. Which is good to clean the salt off of everything. But with the snow on the ground in my area its going to mean flooding and maybe no riding. Well maybe I'll get he xr out in it.

Not sure why you're surprised.  That's typical Mid-Atlantic winter. Snow then 60 degrees.
