Shooting at our local highschool
« on: December 13, 2013, 02:32:46 PM »
In progress:

If my son lived with me, he'd go to this school. He lives with his mom and goes to Columbine HS. WTF.

From the latest updates it appears there are no fatalities other than the shooter, who turned the gun on himself. Two other students shot, one in serious condition.

thoughts and good juju to all involved . . . . . . .sigh
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

IMO, we will see more of this. Most Teens are basically lemming. The twist this time is a shotgun.

My soon to be ex's aunt and uncle live in Littleton, CO.  Her aunt was at Columbine just before the shooting.  I hope for the best for all affected.

As for the shooter, the media plays into these kids sense of hopelessness and frustration, and gives them a chance to be a martyr.  Everyone knows the names Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold from Columbine.  These kids know they'll become famous.
