2 lightlyused 2014 Wethead GSA's available locally....what to do?
« on: September 04, 2015, 02:18:18 PM »
Now here's an interesting dilemma,

A couple in the local BMW club upgraded to matching his & her's Wethead GSA's in 2014.  She has decided that due to current life circumstances she's not getting enough riding time to justify the expense of owning the bike.  Upon hearing of her decision, HE went traded up to a S1000XR.

His GSA now on the floor of the local dealer.  It has a custom all-black paint job which looks better than any of the stock colors.  Has 8,500 miles on the odometer, sidecase, GPS prep but no GPS.  Plus all the other ding dongs (including Enduro modes).  I went and test rode it lunch today

Her GSA is up for private sale.  It’s the stock blue, has all three BMW cases, plus the NAV V as well as all the other ding dongs. Her’s has about half the miles 3,800 and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t ridden anywhere near as hard as his.

There is currently less than $500 difference between the two asking prices ($18,500 dealer price for his) and $18,900 (negotiable) for hers.

With HIS, I have access to dealer financing and I don’t have to deal with the DMV.  They even made me reasonable offer on trade for my Oilhead.  Not great, but reasonable.  I also have the option to de-farkle the oilhead and recoup a couple more bucks.

This may all be for naught anyway.  Since we leave for a week long trip a week from tomorrow and I’m not going to have time to setup a new bike for travel…(re – the stock seat sucks!)  Yes I’ve been spoiled riding on a RDL for the last six years.

So who know’s if either option will still be available when I get back.

Nice WC GS!  How do you like the "new to you" power band?  :)

OMG!  It's a huge step up from the oilhead.   I'm really having a tough time re-calibrating my right wrist! 8)

The PO is doing the pay off tomorrow, but I won't get the title until next week sometime.   Which means I get one last trip on old faithful before posting in the For Sale section.

But in the mean if anyone knows someone looking for a decent Oilhead GSA,  send them my way!
