I have just spent an hour being relentlessy taken the piss out of bu two gay friends.
They'd have done that had you bought a Prius.
You still win!

Worse than that, they've bought a caravan.

My bike still looks pink in sunlight but maroon in shadow. I am mortified.

First truck I bought out of college- an S-10 4x4, in blue.  I looked at it twice, and my wife said "Just go buy it!"  I did.  I brought it home and she said- "You know that's purple, right?"

I'm colorblind.  I thought it was blue.     Drove it for 5 years.  My buddies called it "Barney".

When I got back from last year's CatBcue, I was to spend the first night home at my friend Victor's new house. I had general directions and was familiar with the area, but when I asked him what color it was to help narrow down the last bit of the finding, his response was "fuck, I don't know, blue or purple...maybe light grey. The house next door is yellow."
If it weren't for the therapeutic properties of the occasional off-camber decreasing radius downhill right-hander I'd almost certainly go completely sane.

It takes a real man to ride a pink motorcycle.  :smoking:

Nice bike.

But it does take real men to ride pink motorcycles and purple trucks.

I had two of them...a black '99 and a silver 2002...put about 40k on each, zero issues with either, great motorcycles.  Since Honda abandoned the market, bought a 2006 ZX14, put 44k on that, and just picked up a new 2013 ZX14R in June.  These big bikes (with hard luggage and some seating/pegs/bar risers) are fantastic long distance machines!

I bought it for that purpose and for long distance commutes of 150 miles a day. The Scotland trip fell through because of work issues and my commute is now a tiny 30 miler. No other trips planned for this year.

So far, it's proved to be impreccably mannered, although a lump at low speeds. It is very difficult to stay below 100 on the open road though.

I have that problem with any large 4 cylinder motorcycle.  "But officer, it just smoothes out at 110.  The vibration just goes away..."

Congrats on the bike.  You can't go wrong with a Blackbird!
