Set up the new bird feeder I made, mowed, cut down and chopped up an old dead hemlock. Then my sister stopped and we shot the breeze for a good while. I don't get to see her enough. Then took delivery of a new 50 pint dehumidifier, set it up to keep the musty away in the basement.

I've been dealing with a lack of air conditioning in the van this summer because we really haven't needed it. Honestly, I've put under 6k miles on it in the past year. Got fed up, paid for a recharge bottle of Freon from AutoZone and followed the directions a couple weeks ago. It helped slightly, but it wasn't getting icy cold. The compressor was going on and off, so it wasn't a serious issue for sure. I threw a set of real refrigerant gauges on it today and added another partial can of Freon. Damn, that was it! Me 'n da mutts are gonna be happy cool campers going out east now.

AC is shot in the car.  I did the same thing but only to immediately see it shooting out a seal on the high side.  I guess this isn't one of those shade tree mechanic things.

Have one in the shop that I use intermittently. Left it running for a couple of days, earlier this week, and had a nearly-full tank to dump when I remembered it. Sadly it swaps humidity for heat.

Local shop quoted $90 labor to evacuate and recharge and $20/pound for Freon.  I spent $20.

Went to hospital to visit Mom.

Never good news.

Her last trip was exactly 1 month ago to the day.

That's how they work.  Depending on temperature, you get a 2-5% change in relative humidity for every 1-2 degree Fahrenheit change.  The dehumidifier runs air through a chiller to condense moisture out, and then reheats it - ostensibly to room temperature - to repeat the cycle and pull more water out of the environment.  Uses a fair amount of electricity in the process.

Had to turn our dehumidifier on yesterday after returning from 3 weeks in Italy.  The basement was dank, prolly cause the AC didn't run while we were gone.  I set it to run only for 2 hours late night if it's over 80 F; it was ~77F when we walked in yesterday.

Also plugged my bike into the battery tender, but I suppose that belongs in a different thread.  Feel the need to get out & ride.

Mine doesn't seem to pump a lot of heat out ( new energy star Fridigaire ), unlike the one it replaced , which now see's intermittent use in the garage

Put the truck battery on the charger.  After not driving it for two weeks and letting it sit in the 100 degree heat it almost left me stranded at work (the horror...the horror)

I toured a 500 year old cathedral, walked around an open air market, took a nap and then toured an apartment Mozart lived in. I could get used to this European vacation thingy.

I went to my boss's retirement party yesterday, ran into quite a few people I used to work with. Afterwards my wife and I went and had dinner at a local Japanese steak house with the usual flaming entrée's and spinny knives and what-not. Quite tasty too, as always.

I kinda' hate to see my boss go, he is a really decent guy. We've had some real lemons over the years and he's been a nice change. Happy for them though.

Mom passed at 9:10pm last night. She went into the hospital on her 87th birthday. Her decline was very fast after that.

Asking for a friend.

Interesting.
My take on the sentence is that the RHM is the subject ie the doer of the action

I understand the goat to be the object of the action

I'm sure we all agree on the action occurring in the sentence

Is my interpretation of the sentence correct grammatically, or is my personal bias affecting my understanding?   8)

Signed the paperwork to move Mom from the hospital to in-patient hospice.  FML

Mom passed at 9:10pm last night. She went into the hospital on her 87th birthday. Her decline was very fast after that.

Sorry.

Moved into the new home in Wisconsin last week.  Busy unpacking, getting settled and organized, etc.  Less time to ride than I would like.

As you can guess, we now have the internet up and running.

Prepping to have a small ROV run up my arse in the morning- and one down from the top end.  I hope they do the top first.  Unless they have two, then maybe they can meet in the middle and put in a small golden spike.

About to start drinking the tasty Lemon Flavored preparatory fluid.
