Took mom for oral surgery. Called for a drop-in appointment at the eye surgeon to look to make sure I don't have early signs of infection. Meanwhile my VERY pregnant oldest daughter stood and her foot folded on her; breaking it. She called me because my wife was dropping her son off at pre-K and had her phone off. My son-in-law was at their new house doing more pre-move prep but that's an hour away. I had to stay with mom because of her health and anesthetic being used.

SiL got to our house and took her to hospital. Broken. Want to cast it but are concerned about more awkwardness while pregnant so booted it. Only Tylenol because of the pregnancy. No weight on it but will be tomorrow before the leg-skooter-surfing-thing will be here. Heart breaks to see her like this. Baby okay.

Absolutely nothing. It was moto all damn day.  :)
If it weren't for the therapeutic properties of the occasional off-camber decreasing radius downhill right-hander I'd almost certainly go completely sane.

Sorry to hear this - when it rains it pours.

At least they were able to boot it.  I did two weeks with an external fixator, and THAT was no fun.  She's got the best situation given the case.  Is surgery going to be required on this, or are they betting it'll heal okay without?

Oh, and the leg scooter thing is fun.

She has to wait 8 weeks to see about the foot. Between now and then she'll deliver. Meanwhile their month-delayed closing means that she can't help my SiL prep the house for moving in and all their stuff from their last house is in storage (or at our house while they stay with us). So broken foot, new baby, 4-year-old, moving... ugh.

I didn't know "pirate metal" was a thing.

^That.

I spent the last three days with 160 7th graders at camp with a lake as my classroom, and running large group games in the evening.  GREAT fun, but I am WIPED OUT.  It's things like that when I leave it all on the table...

Laundry. Two weeks worth of laundry...I've been traveling since 9/8 (just got home yesterday). I leave again on Thursday for a week.
I used to make a bigger impression.

Please help us welcome Lucas Gabriel.

He made his arrival this morning about 10:40 am @ 6lbs 15 oz 19.5" long.

Mother, infant, husband, older brother, and both grandparents are doing well.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Last night was the first night home. I know I heard him cry 2 or 3 times but my daughter said every 30 - 60 minutes he was in the chow line.
