I took the F700GS in for its annual service and I am riding home on a new F800GS Adventure.

:twofinger:

I know... the rain finally stopped as I was leaving. Two and half hours riding to the dealer in moderate rain and dropping temperature. It was around 65 when I left the house at 6:00 and when I got to the dealer at 8:30 the temperature had dropped to 57 because of a cold front that wasn't supposed to go through until late in the day.

Needles to say I am very thankful the dealer threw in a sweatshirt to put under my jacket for the ride home.

It was a really good deal on the bike, but the salesman thought I was joking because he sold me the F700 in January of 2014. When he realized I was serious it took him a few moments to stop laughing.

Sweet upgrade, Marc. I guess that's what people mean when they go on and on about how expensive BMW service is.

I've always liked that color, but Scratch is right. Way too clean.
If it weren't for the therapeutic properties of the occasional off-camber decreasing radius downhill right-hander I'd almost certainly go completely sane.

I'm really worried because I'll be back in a week for the 600 mile initial service. There was a really nice 1200 sitting close by and I'm afraid if I sit on it next week it might try to follow me home too...

So does it ride better after the service?  :)

I heard with the new BMW service practices, it comes out feeling like a whole new machine. That's service, my friend.

Congrats.  Is there much of a power difference between that and the F700GS?

It's the exact same engine, just geared differently and I can tell you the front wheel does come up off the ground now.   :o
