DALLAS -

The motorcyclist who police chased Tuesday morning was going so fast even Air One had trouble keeping up with him.

It happened just after midnight on the North Dallas Tollway near Royal Lane. A Department of Public Safety trooper tried to pull over the suspect for speeding.

Instead, he drove away at a high speed. In the chase that followed he reached speeds of well over 100 miles per hour.

He covered in all about 73 miles through north Dallas on the tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, Central Expressway, Interstate 635, Interstate 35, Interstate 30, Highway 161 and then Interstate 20 into Arlington.

The suspect was about to hit Highway 287 near Fort Worth when he ran out of gas.

As he was being arrested, police said the suspect boasted about how fast he was able to go. He said it was as high as 189 mph. He also sounded a little bummed because he said he had just gotten a full tank of gas.

He was identified as 31-year-old William Pfohl of Dallas. He was charged with evading arrest.

At first officers believed the bike was stolen out of Florida, but it turns it wasn't.

I don't know what's worse. Idiots like this rubbing away from cops or idiots opening their mouths to make it seem like all riders are ignorant.

My point was him boasting about his speed. Stupid thing to say. Seems every time one of these idiots gets caught they say something stupid.

Dang Guzzi riders.
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Well it wouldn't be any different if he was in a car.  Perhaps he's just a stupid person regardless of his chosen vehicle.

I hate how this makes us look to the public as motorcyclists, but as a motorcyclist, I really want to see the chase footage from the plane and maybe a GoPro.
You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrists' office.

I don't find it surprising that someone who would do something as stupid as this would also say something stupid.  It seems to fit.

My belief is that the public usually looks upon us as slightly deranged anyway.

Emptied a full tank in what, 80 or so miles, give or take? 16 MPG maybe? Sunds about right.

They thought the bike was from Florida? Sounds like the rider was.

Have trouble growing grass?
[/quote]

Funny you ask. The previous owners put the rock on that corner of the yard because grass won't grow well. Apparently, when the road was a still a dirt, a lot of salt would get dumped on the corners. Our neighbors on the other corner have the same problem.

Have trouble growing grass?

I would have asked "hate to mow ? "

The village I live in, won't let me put fake turf in the front yard for some stupid reason.
- Back yard is pet grass for the dogs, green all year long and only take 5 min every other night of the irrigation system to clean it off.

Serious question... are you able to just hose off the crap? We have a dog that has very "runny" crap, so it's difficult to clean up after him.
