I'm not a big brown ale guy.     Different strokes!   :bigok:  Of course they are about 20 minutes from me.  I love their IPA and Ichabod.

Wedding reception tonight.  At Waldorff Brewing Co.  IPA's.  Love 'em, feeling it now.

Big storms coming through this afternoon- plus it's up to 62F right now.  So, I am spending this afternoon putzing around in the barn, watching the storm, doing a bit of seasonal maintenance on my mower deck before I put it away.

Enjoying an Arturo Fuente and a small glass of my own whisky:

Lately it's been mostly Espolon tequila mixed with some sort of fruity soda (Sprite or black cherry zevia mostly) with frozen fruit instead of ice.  Yes I am female and yes it is delicious so  :twofinger:

Yep, there are only a few places in town that have Raspberry Tart in stock.  They stopped production for awhile because they ran out of raspberries  :P  Word is that they should start up in a month or two, but I have a personal stock and a store I know that bought a 3 month stock as soon as they heard production was stopping  ;D ;D ;D

Not a drinker (just to get that out of the way up front). I have been taste-testing various beers over the past couple of years. As in 1 or 2 such tests per year :)  Anyway, because we got our ticket queue down to 0 tickets, the boss decided to take the team out for dinner and drinks at the local Oskar Blues. I also decided to try something so in looking over the various beers, I went with the lighter Christmas 2013 Ale (listed as a more Malty beer). I limit myself to 6% or less just because more than that gets into the 'medicine? I'm not sick!' realm. I found the Christmas Ale was more palatable than many others I've had over the past couple of years. Generally I can only take a single drink. A second drink drops into a more bitter, medicine flavor and I'll leave more than half for someone else.

Amusingly I had it on a mostly empty stomach so it hit me pretty hard (I'm a lightweight :) ). I had to hang out for a bit before I thought I was okay enough to drive. Even so, I was a bit friendlier at the game store later in chatting up the guys :D

On the positive side, I may be getting closer to knowing what I can pick when out with the guys.

See that broken limb above the bottle?  That's one of the bastards I cut up.  Straight back where the bottle neck starts you can see some of the remnants of the cut up limbs from the neighbor's yard.  Done.  Burning up some of this junk willow and enjoying a couple of these by the fire.  I'm done for today.

Holy shit, as advertised.  Do not experiment with a 'what the hell, a Pilsner couldn't be that strong' at 12:30 in the afternoon.

$2 well (?) spent.
