Someone do me a favor
« on: November 16, 2013, 09:07:17 AM »
See if you can access the website www.isp.com. That's where my email is and I can't seem to access it. I've used Chrome, which is the browser I mainly use and Safari, which I rarely use.
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Using a MacBook Air - failed with both Safari and Chrome. With Chrome it was 'server failed to return data'.

No love from my desktop using Safari.  Firefox didn't get me there, either.

How long has this been going on?

Additionally, you could power cycle all of your network boxes - modem, gateway, etc. Do you have any other devices in the house that use your house's Internet connection? Do those devices connect with www.isp.com?

Is www.isp.com your Internet Service Provider? Contact your Internet Service Provider and report the issue with them. Perhaps they have some insight. Though unlikely, there could be a router that is mis-configured (routes that you need are dead whereas routes for us are not processing through that router and thus work).

Worked for me too.

Probably an issue with DNS.

Go to a command prompt and type the following:

ping www.isp.com

You should get:

Pinging isp.com [216.126.204.65] with 32 bytes of data:

If you can't resolve the domain name you will see an error message.

Seems to be working fine.  I got in, logged in, checked your email, the calendar pics, signed you up for a few porn sites, and made copies of all your selfies.  I think you can move to a larger gauge.   :bigok:
