Satanic Sculpture Installed at Illinois Statehouse, Just in Time for the Holidays

Nearby stands a sign in which the state offers a civics lesson — and explains it didn't have much of a choice:
"The State of Illinois is required by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution to allow temporary, public displays in the state capitol so long as these displays are not paid for by taxpayer dollars. Because the first floor of the Capitol Rotunda is a public place, state officials cannot legally censor the content of speech or displays. The United States Supreme Court has held that public officials may legally impose reasonable time, place and manner restrictions regarding displays and speeches, but no regulation can be based on the content of the speech."

Foul-mouthed Santa horrifies parents

https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/13/uk/bad-santa-claus-grotto-scli-gbr-intl/index.html

Organizers of a Christmas event have apologized to outraged parents after a fire alarm reportedly prompted Santa Claus to burst out of his grotto, rip off his beard and scream at children to "get the f**k out."

The incident occurred at an event in the English town of St. Ives, Cambridgeshire on Sunday, when an alarm at a nearby but unconnected event caused an evacuation of the building, organizers said.
While parents and children were already evacuating, Santa Claus tore into the room and started causing havoc, a customer said on Facebook.
"He came changing (sic) in, ripped his hat and beard off in front of 50 odd kids and started shouting and swearing at people to leave," the post said.
The real story behind Santa Claus
The real story behind Santa Claus
"You should be ashamed of yourself acting like that in front of children. There is no way he should be allowed near a child," it added.
This nightmare before Christmas prompted an apology from the event's organizers, who explained that the fire alarm had gone off in an unrelated family-friendly "rave" taking place in the same building, and that Santa had merely been trying to help.
"Santa was upstairs in his grotto... and immediately assisted in the evacuation of the building" upon hearing the fire alarm, Festival Events St. Ives (FESt) said.
"FESt wish to apologize for any offense or distress caused to parents and children by the attempts to ensure all visitors and staff had exited the building and were safe," they added.
But the incident, which some on social media likened to the 2003 movie "Bad Santa," left parents furious.
A mother told local news outlet Cambridgeshire Live: "My friend's little boy was upset as his dad was carrying him when Santa told them 'to get the f*** out,'" adding that she had to tell her children that the man wasn't the real Santa but an imposter who would be going on the 'naughty list.'"
The event is set to go ahead again this weekend. Organizers did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment, and have not confirmed whether the same Santa Claus will return.

Forida - check

https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/woman-denied-outback-steakhouse-attacks-parents-threatens-to-kill-them

One Florida woman apparently really wanted a Bloomin’ Onion.

Deanne Seltzer was arrested last week after she allegedly attacked her parents and chased her father with a 12-inch knife for refusing to take her to Outback Steakhouse.

According to reports, the 28-year-old Palm Beach resident asked her parents to take her to dinner at the popular restaurant chain on Wednesday. When they refused, Seltzer flew into a rage and flipped over the glass dining room table before punching her mother with closed fists on her chest and arms, CBS12 reported.

Seltzer’s father intervened and sustained scratches to his face and upper body, Yahoo Lifestyle reported. Seltzer then allegedly picked up a foot-long decorative knife and began to chase her father around the house, threatening, “I’m going to kill you,” the outlet reported. Her father was eventually able to wrestle the knife away without sustaining further injury.

Middle school teachers.....right, Clay?   ;)

https://fox17online.com/2019/01/06/teacher-who-fed-puppy-to-snapping-turtle-found-not-guilty-of-animal-cruelty/

PRESTON, Idaho – An Idaho middle school teacher who fed a puppy to a snapping turtle was found not guilty of animal cruelty late Friday afternoon.

The defense attorney for Robert Crosland said in an opening statement Friday his team is not disputing that Crosland fed a puppy to a snapping turtle, but argued "we don’t believe a crime was committed."

Crosland had been charged in Franklin County, Idaho, with misdemeanor animal cruelty after local residents reported him to police for feeding a sick, dying puppy to a snapping turtle.

Prosecutor David Morris said the incident occurred in Crosland’s classroom at Preston Junior High School, but after normal school hours with four students present.

One of those students, a 14-year-old, testified Friday that he was staying after school to do make-up work following a family vacation.

The teen said he played with and touched the puppy before Crosland first tried feeding it to a snake in his classroom.

“It was pretty cute,” the teen witness said. “It looked like a Lab.”

When the snake paid no attention to the puppy in its tank, the teen said Crosland moved the puppy to the snapping turtle’s tank.

Another student testified he was also in the classroom when the puppy was fed to the turtle.

That student said he'd never had Crosland as a science teacher, but stopped by to talk with the teacher after school and hold the animals — including two snakes, some lizards and the snapping turtle.

On March 7, 2018, the teen said Crosland told him he had a sick puppy and asked if the teen wanted to take it home. Then the teen said Crosland told him and his friends he would feed the puppy to the snapping turtle, and asked if they wanted to watch.

“He let us hold it first,” the teen said about the puppy. “It was small, one-handed size for a person with big hands.”

The teen said Crosland then put the puppy in the snapping turtle tank. The puppy swam around before it was dragged to the bottom of the tank by the snapping turtle, the teen testified.

“And then the puppy passed out and became unconscious,” the teen continued.

Another witness, a 7th grade student in Crosland’s science class, said he held the puppy before it was put in the tank and could see the puppy’s ribs.

“It wasn’t doing the best,” the boy testified about the dog's health.

That’s why Crosland’s son, Mario, said his father fed the puppy to the turtle.

“If you can lose a life to help another, then why not?” Mario Crosland said.

Mario Crosland said his father made a choice to let another animal gain from the death of the puppy rather than let the dog die from illness.

McCormick’s Pure Vanilla Extra, one of the most popular brands, has a 41 percent alcohol content, making it 82 proof.
I thought that'd be a damm expensive drunk, because a 2 oz bottle is $8 (amazon), but a 16 oz bottle is only $34 (amazon).
