I didn't know whether to post this here, or to go to the Rant thread...

Someone's been scattering nails on the streets in Grafton, WI, a Milwaukee suburb.  The only party with a possible rational reason would be neighboring Cedarberg's Chamber of Commerce ;D, but I don't think so.  They're both pleasant towns.

The most probable 'party' is someone that fixes flats and/or sells tires.

The local Midas has said they will fix flats for free. More likely scenario is a Karen that was told by the police that it's not illegal to leave home.

When I read this I remember the lyrics of the Grateful Dead's "Foolish heart"

"Shun a friend
Shun a brother and a friend
Never look
Never look around the bend
Or check a weatherchart
Sign the Mona Lisa
With a spraycan, call it art
But never give your love, my friend
Unto a foolish heart"

Giving a priceless painting to a furnisher refinisher is just foolish. Hell I am a journeyman level furnisher finisher and would never accept a job like that.

As if we didn't need more troubles in the world ...

https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2020/07/09/fond-du-lac-fatal-motorcycle-crash-driver-makes-initial-court-appearance-thursday/5404674002/

A guy intentionally ran his truck into a Harley rider and killed him under the assumption that the rider was white--it's being charged as a hate crime.

The defendant appears to be Hispanic, and also appears to be suffering from a mental illness.  He apparently believed that white people were poisoning him.  He told a LEO that he assumed a Harley rider would be white, and that's why he ran the biker down.

IMHO, it's more of a case of untreated mental illness rather than hate.

It's a sick, sad world.
