I can walk!
« on: November 13, 2013, 09:03:26 PM »
6 weeks post-op from my Tib/Fib break with a rod in my leg and I took my first steps without a cast and crutches!

I'm on my way to riding in the spring.

....but I'm still off work for another 6 weeks.

That is all!

If you can walk, you can ride a wheelie.  Godspeed in your healing and my I see you in the wind.

Better than an ankle or a knee. Rodding a Tib/Fib is a proven fix, and he'll be good as new.

I'm on my way to riding in the spring.

So you'll be able to ride to Clay's BBQ. This IS the year that I make it. I think.

Well done!

Given where in this new board this thread appears, should the subject line read something like "I can sport walk?"
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

No Doobies, haha. I was referring to my non-ankle, which I would gladly trade for a tib-fib break and a functioning ankle any day of the week.

And yes, that is me on the Tail of the Dragon back in May. Notice I'm riding like a total Pansy, not dragging anything, and definitely NOT looking at the photog.

Oh yeah, and I didn't crash. That was the object. Have fun, don't crash, let the locals set the hot lap time to the lookout and back. There was no way I was going to hang parts of my bike on that frickin tree. haha
