Looking real nice, Gary. I'll eventually be relacing 17' hoops to the stock wheels for the DR350 since they're here. Best of both worlds with a SM setup and full on dirt boogie machine.

What's under the blanket? Another project?

The Triumph is under the blanket and is done. I don't need to do anything else to that for awhile. The KLX is my current project. Have the vapor on order and am looking for some SM rotors for the front, possibly a SM front fender.
I'm diggin on the SM right now. Have not had the dirt wheels on yet this year or the triumph on the road yet. Hopefully soon.

I had the RM front end installed and rode the bike for a whole season with it. Considered selling the DR and put it all back to stock for that last fall. Decided it wasn't costing me to keep and I missed riding it, so this spring all the goodies and then some are getting put back on. I never did add the Warp9 wheel to the rear, so I'm getting that mocked up now, costing me the new rotor and longer chain.

Did all the maintenance checks and adjustments this week, so it'll be good for the summer.

It'll be truly a one off creation when I get done.

I may have to bring it to Illinois for a dirt bike weekend with bomber, foursquare and the rest of the ADV minded peeps there.

Valve clearance check on the Airhead. Only 500 miles, but possibly some tightening (.0015ish) up on the right exhaust in that time. I'll be watching it closely for a while.

Tightened the battery, shoved the air cleaner back in and clipped it up, thumbed the starter and eased out of my driveway to see if the gearbox all worked.

By the 3rd backfire the throttle stuck, and THEN I remembered the shop towel I stuffed the intake horn with while it was apart.

This is going to suck.

I spaced when i saw the pricing after buying a Zumo 590 last month. It was one of those "of course, right after I spent the money" moments, then realized it was a 390. So, I just removed my idiocy.

Well, I swung by the local shop (Detroit Iron Cycles) to check on buying some stuff for the DR350. Local as in ~5 miles from the house. Got to chatting with the staff and ended up in an interview for a part time tech position. They're supposed to call later today with a money offer. It better show their best shot.

Working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 10-6 with weekends off. Owner says I can use his trailer to haul my tools up. I'd say they're desperate! Since Tech Care closed last fall, they're the only game in town locally for Big 4 Japanese repairs.

They *just* became a Kawasaki franchise and also sell Aprilia, Royal Enfield and Moto Guzzi. Dear dog, what did I just do?

Might spend my lunch break putting a new regulator on the Bonneville. It's English, you know, so it's waning ability to carry electrons is about at its end.

I'm to be commended, really, because I didn't light it on fire and kick it over after it left me stranded in WV

Apparently the R/Rs on these things come out of the factory about half janked, and only get worse from there.

And the good news continues! My Corbin seat that was supposed to take 4 weeks to be made and shipped? It'll be here Friday in under two weeks time. I'm celebrating with a break in ride on Saturday.

Changed the oil in the Beemer* today and pulled the wheels off for new tires. It's probably time:

Got the needle and seat for the DR350's Mikuni carb and put it all back together. Installed the carb and tank, but realized the tank needs to come back off to finish the Vapor install. Picking up the battery and 520 chain tomorrow at the old shop. Still waiting on the slow boat from China with the rear brake rotor.....

Fourstrings KLR650 is finally getting closer to completion. When I pulled the cylinder off to get bored first over that wouldn't be a problem. First when the shop went to bore it it has been over heated to the point that it must of heat treated the liner and wore out his boring stones and was to out of round to save. A liner from Kawasaki was no longer available and after some searching found one at LA sleeve. Since he didn't have a press big enough to press the liner he had to sub it out to a guy (that I also know so I know it was done rite) that has a auto machine shop. He had a big enough boring bar since the cylinder had to be bored to fit the liner. He also bored the cylinder for the piston.

That's a little blue.

Mrs.awesome's TW 200 has been sitting idle for over a year. Time to get it mobile again. Installed a new agm battery and it fired up first crank. Need to get some new tires on it now. Not that they are worn out but because they are the original 1999 tires

Starting the install of a trail tech vapor and dashboard on the KLX.
