Most amazing driving directions EVAR!
« on: April 24, 2014, 09:01:34 PM »
Tomorrow I'm going to leave from San Diego to drive to Key West.  I checked on Google maps, and it said: I-8 east 2,600 miles.  Turn right on US-1.  200 miles later, arrive in Key West.  Yeah- almost 3,000 miles and ONE FREAKING TURN.

Yay.

Love my rdl seat with back rest. I thought I'd hate it but ended up loving it. That with a heated jacket is like having a heating pad on your back. Feels great.

From there you have the option of IH 10 or US 90. If you have the time, I'd suggest US 90. Either way, you'll be eventually traveling thru my neighborhood. Beaumont. The Frenchies have a funny way with words. Text me when you cross the "good mountain" in Beaumont.  :rolf:

Minimum.  ;D

Whats another 5 MPH.

Ton.
But you have to be careful. Fuel stops are far apart in that area. In fact there are warning signs. For instance; Ft. Stockton to Ozona is a little over 100 miles. There are only 2 gas stations between them. And they are very iffy whether they'll be open when you need them.

Tallahassee to Key West is well over 600 miles. Like I said, Florida is much bigger than you think.

From the Alabama border to Key West is 863 miles.

By the way, the right turn has now been successfully negotiated.
