Bikes Only / 1985 V65 Sabre $2500
« Last post by cb400 on May 29, 2020, 05:31:34 PM »
V65 Sabre recently refreshed (300 miles ago) and updated. Stainless steel Front brake and clutch lines w/rebuilt Master cylinder and calipers with DP HH+ front pads, and PC800 rotors for 2 finger stopping. New fork seals and new proper front springs from Sonic springs, plus a SuperBrace fork brace in the front. Rear shock replaced with a modified CBR shock for improved suspension. New Avon Roadrider tires in stock sizes.
Non-stock front turn signals, previous owner recovered seat (looks stock). Everything works as it should, including the gauge cluster (the fuel gauge works intermittently). Overall the bike has minimal corrosion and looks good under the plastics as well. Paintwork shines. Runs and drives perfectly, with the power you'd expect from the big V4. I'm paring down my "collection", so it's time for this one to find someone to ride her. With the new suspension and brake components, it rides like a much more modern machine. No excessive fork dive on braking, good working suspension.

Grant’s complete personal memoirs are available free on both Apple Books and Amazon. I’ve been reading them on and off for almost a year. Very long, much is fascinating but I’m rarely good for more than an hour or so, after which I put it away until I get the urge again.

I don’t dare read the copy I have. It is a bit too fragile.

them damn automatic transmissions. if you can't drive a manual you shouldn't be on the road......... err...uh,  nevermind...

How about that electronic fuel injection and ignition too? The mechanical fuel injection and ignition on my '71 Squareback worked just fine damn it. $20. for a set of Injector points and a couple of bucks for a cap, rotor, ignition points and condenser and 1/2 an hour later you're fahren fahren fahren on das Autobahn.

No gad dam $140.p/h shop labor either...

 :gerg:

and don't get me started on them damn radial tires! they don't work like bias ply in the snow.
