I'm with Doug. I put in the recommended viscosity. makes no sense to my why someone trusts the engineering that makes their chose of bike "better" than the others, then totally disregards said engineering when it comes to oil.  Unfortunately my 1190 calls for  10/50 which is hard to find in most major oil brands so I end up spending a bit for for the Motorex :-[    in the end the cost is not that big of a factor so I don't give it much thought...

No, but I wanted to source my oil and filters BEFORE I needed them.

I’m still farkleing the bike.  I want the protective kit in place before I hit the road.
